Parental Control is used to be able to manage the computer use of the children. With the help of Parental Control, parents can actually limit the access of the kids over the web by setting up specific hours that they can use it and the games that they are allowed to play. I t has the ability to block the access on a certain web page or game, once the blocked page is accessed, a notification is displayed informing that it has been blocked. The access will be allowed only if the account information is entered.
In order to set up Parental Control, each child should have a standard user account that they can use and an administrator account for the one who will control the activities. Parental Control is only applied to user account; it does not include the administrator account.
It has the ability to restrict web access. This way, parents can specify the websites that their children can visit. This ensures that every web site’s contents are appropriate for the age of the children. Downloads can be filtered, parents can set up “block” or “allow”.
Parents can set up time limits for each user. A specific time frame and days of the week can be set up. Once the limit id over, the system will automatically log off the computer.
Games can be controlled too, by simply blocking the specific games that parents think too dangerous for children. Parents can decide whether to allow or block it.
